Nokia Shorts 2011 – Reinventing the reel with $10,000 up for grabs

Vimeo has always been about helping film makers and video creators showcase their work, now Nokia are getting together with Vimeo to nurture new, HD mobile movie making.

Nokia has just launched the Nokia Shorts 2011 competition, if you’ve got the talent and a great idea for a movie short, all you will have to do is pitch your idea by submitting your video until April 17th 2011, keeping your clip to under two minutes and elaborate with up to 100 words of text to their panel of judges and if your idea gets picked, you will be provided with two Nokia N8s plus a $5,000 dollar budget to make your mobile movie in HD.

There are 8 grants up for grabs, but the best movie wins $10,000 dollars in cash prize and premieres at this years Edinburgh Film Festival together with the other seven finalists. So head over to the Nokia HD channel on Vimeo for more competiton details. Good luck and get your movie made
