N9 in the house!!!!!

That’s right folks, the DHL parcel from the folks at Nokia Connects, arrived yesterday afternoon and to be honest, I was a little worried at the size of the contents inside the yellow bag when the courier handed it to me. I really had no idea the blue retail box was that small, I mean REALLY SMALL – a solid rectangular/square in shape with only 130mm x 75mm x 80mm dimensions and 100% recyclable, my daughter’s school lunch box is bigger than that :)

Any way, inside this little box packed in different layers, as you can see in the pictures below, the following items are present:

- Nokia N9 16GB or 64GB (depending on which one you buy) MeeGo device
- Silicon cover the same colour as the device (available in three colours: black, cyan and magenta)
- Quick guide, user manual and a warranty correction leaflet for the N9 battery
- Nokia Charging and Data Cable (CA-185CD)
- White Nokia fast USB Charger (AC-16E)
- Nokia Stereo Headset (WH-901) Here I would have hoped for the Silicone ones that came with the N8

There are many other features to this wonderful device, but I must tell you from start that there are three that really stand out and continue to impress the hell out of me.

The first is the one-piece, uni-body design, it just feels so………. I dont have any word to describe it. Even people that I have been in contact with over the last 24 hours have been left in AWE after seeing this device.

The second is the polycarbonate plastic – it just doesn’t feel like plastic at all – the quality is great, it will be nice to see this in future Nokia devices.

The third and probably the most amazing feature is the SWIPE – most intuitive way to use all the different features and functions on this device, and I will be talking about this and another features in more detail in the coming days, so stay tuned.

And for my fellow Nokia Developers here are a few comparison pics between the N9 and N950 devices that I took yesterday – Nokia N9 / N950 pics – any questions you have feel free to ask in the comments below or on twitter at @joaoluisc
